Twice is just as nice.

Love Jamie Lidell...really love SomethingALaMode's version of his song Little Bit of Feel Good.

Eek eek.

Well first things first... I have attempted to be hip with technology and set up a widget on the right hand side of the screen. This little doodad, assuming that it even works, will play music from my playlists. Side "A" of the mix tape will always be new releases, and side "B" is anything released before 2010. The mixes will be updated frequently to include full versions of a lot of the songs sampled on sussudio and anything I'm currently listening to. So if you get a chance try it out, blast it in the office, and let me what you think.

Second thing: I really like this song.

But it's been a long time since I heard the rhyme.

I can get caught up all day in the world of new releases and the never ending mass of oddly named bands, but the chances of me tiring of them is almost just as certain. Now give me a one man soul show with a guitar as his backup and I promise I will never falter.

KYLE MANNING IS A REAL BOY

My first experience with the British duo Goldfrapp came with the song Ooh La La released back in 2005. Honestly unless my name was Kyle, Kenny, or Peter I would not consider Goldfrapp river road drive worthy; however, Allison Goldfrapp's relaxed vocals along side the band's 80s electro-alternative beats does do well on Circe's ipod.

Goldfrapp's newest album released in March really takes the 80's to the smoothest level. That is where the shout out of the week comes into play. A couple weeks ago Kyle tipped me off to the Goldfrapp song Rocket. Immediately I knew two things: 1) Kyle wanted a shout out 2) If it involved Kyle and music then there must be a reference to his beloved Tiesto....Welp I was right. Kyle said he would only be my friend if I posted this, and he was sure to clarify that the featured song is a Goldfrapp/Tiesto remix.

Happy Monday Kyle.

Drinking water, trying to keep dry.

I really like it when artists collaborate, duh. Obviously it is a good thing when any part of society works together but I find it most beneficial when music artist mix their talents. For example Kid Cudi, Rostam Batmanglij (from Vampire Weekend), and Bethany Cosentino (singer for Best Coast) came together to create a summer jam for Converse. The care free, chuck wearing, water boasting song is a catchy tune. Watch the video and download the song for free on converse's website: http://www.converse.com/

You're welcome.

Morning jam sesh.

Grace Potter has a phenomenal voice. She is like Sheryl Crow but on five hour energy. PS: I never liked Sheryl Crow for many reasons but most likely because she would never drink five hour energy. Grace Potter and the Nocturnals have soul, energy, and a lot of fun...especially in this video below. The song "Paris" is my favorite track off the bands new self titled album, and has enough soul to pump me up for the week.

Well bless my soul.

...MNDR and Mark Ronson? I love everything Mark Ronson produces, and as seen here there was no doubt that I would love this collaboration.

2 million acreas.

Dear O'Brien,

This is the song that you liked from the Patagonia video. I'm not surprised you liked it. You would like Animal Collective. I like Animal Collective too. Good thing we are friends.

Just a little bit.

Just bought this album. I could have a small island somewhere if I stopped eating/drinking out and buying music, but that would be lame.

Artist: Toro y Moi
Song: Low Shoulders

This takes focus.

I like how you can see the studio process of creating this song while listening to the final product at the same time. The song and video are coordinated perfectly.
